Yahoo News, Huffington Post, and +AFP news agency showed us an interesting way to de-stresses using the feared serpent.
They featured a man in Jakarta who was taking his another treatment of
snake therapy by Bali Heritage Reflexology and Spa, which uses non
poisonous snakes to massage the client.

Feri Tilukay, the man who took his seventh treatment of snake therapy, said that the snakes slithered all over him and it feels good as it creates a unique sensation. The snake's mouth is taped during the massage. Meanwhile, two masseurs attendant monitoring the snake's behavior and facilitating the therapy. Different size and weight of the snake creates unique pressure to the stressed muscle of the client. The session lasts for more than an hour. It only costs 480,000 rupiah and for their clients that travels from Europe, Japan, or South Korea to Indonesia seeking an adrenaline rush massage and spa, $43 is enough.
The center uses three snakes named
Brown, Muscle, and Jasmine. They are among the five pythons that the
spa and massage center uses to accommodate client's snake therapy. To
keep the snake strong and healthy, they are fed with live rabbits.

Years before snake therapy is
introduced in Indonesia, Ada Barak's Spa in northern Israel started
it first in 2006. It is an amazing way to feel relaxed at a $70 or 40

uses 6 non-venomous snakes which belong to the family of California

The customers who tried snake spa and
massage testified that it is a therapy to them. They had a snake
phobia before they tried the unique massage. The therapy helps them
familiarize snake's behavior and slowly ease out their fears of snakes. Not to mention, It is deeply soothing. Feri
Tilukay said that
he liked the snakes now and even come back for a more snake therapy session in Indonesia. This statement is similar to the customers'

by Shalev, Abraham and Ben-Mordehai, Dror delved to
the positive benefits of non-venomous snakes to PWD or Persons with
disabilities. In their Abstract, they have predicted the potential
future use of snakes in Animal Assisted Therapy.
Abraham and Dror found out that the
snake is a preferred animal or pet for children with disabilities and
elderly. Snakes belong to Boidae and Colubridae family is introduced
to the activities of children with disabilities, teens with
behavioral problems, and elderly. After the snakes, dogs, and rabbits
are introduced, they asked the children and elderly which among the
animals they like as pets. A shocking higher percentage chose
the snakes.
